為啥物用台語學物理 Why physics in Taiwanese

A language stays alive when it can talk about everything — not only food and family, but momentum, magnetism and light. Most of us were taught science only in Mandarin or English, so Tâi-gí never grew the words. This project builds them, out loud, together.

聽有 Understand it first time

Ideas land faster in the language you dream in. We teach the concept in Tâi-gí, then anchor every term to English so nothing gets lost.

傳落去 Keep the language living

Like Te Reo Māori revitalisation, a heritage tongue survives by taking on new territory. Coining and sharing physics vocabulary is preservation in action.

做伙 Learn together

Open study groups and workshops mean you're never decoding equations alone. Beginners, heritage speakers and teachers all welcome.

字詞佮發音 Vocabulary & pronunciation

Press play to hear each term spoken in Tâi-gí, or 0.7× to hear it slowly. You can also record your own voice straight in the browser and save it permanently into this page with one button — see the guide underneath.

錄音 Adding your own recordings

1 · Record each word Click the mic beside a word, say it once, click the mic again to stop. Press play to check it, and re-record if you want. Seven words takes about two minutes.
2 · Or attach a file you already have Click the paperclip to use an existing recording instead — m4a, mp3, wav and phone voice memos all work.
3 · Save them into the page Press the red button below. Your voice is written straight into the HTML — one file, no audio folder, and it plays for everyone who visits.
No recordings yet in this visit — record a word above first.
// If you use "Copy the audio code": open taigiphysics.html in a text
// editor and paste over everything between these two markers.
